Do you know there are so many baboons because their living area is so spacious?! Our SG zoo must be so generous to dedicate such a huge space for these baboon families... :) And we saw two baboons fighting and their baboon mommy stopped them in time! This is what you witness if you have the patience to stop and observe!

Okay enough about baboons..

Let's talk about chimpanzees!! Omgosh i must say.. they are really.. i cant describe.. aww.. picture tells you all!

The story goes like this.. grandpa chim wants to cross the log, so young chim helped grandpa chim across!!! Isnt that sweet!? Our sg zoo is full of warm-hearted stories!!

White tigers are so beautiful dont you think so?

Some facts that you may not know!

The Singapore Zoo was opened in 27 June 1973 and spreading over 28 hectares, it is home to over 3,600 mammals, birds and reptiles, including rare and endangered species. (Omg just look at the number of animals you can observe!!)

There are 315 animal species (16% are threatened species) and there are 2530 total number of specimens. In order to protect the threatened species, the zoo bring messages about wildlife conservation effectively through exhibitions with education content.

So now, what is actually the difference between SG zoo and the zoos in other countries?!?!?!

*drumrolls*

SG zoo actually used barriers such as streams, rivers, rockwalls and vegetations to seperate the animals instead of oppressive cages!!
Furthermore, there are so many animal shows that are so entertaining.. the animals performing stunts and at the same time.. delivering messages of wildlife conservation to us, how meaningful!
OH our SG zoo also has cafes (ALSO HAS BEN&JERRY!!! cool or not?) and souveniers shops that you can bring back memories in the zoo with you!!

We know you are interested!
Get down and explore our Singapore's amazing zoo!
